| Truncated Tetrahedron was one cool kid always up for a laugh. The kind of kid that would give you the shirt off their back. But you couldn't get real close to Truncated. Truncated was not one for talking heart stuff and avoided personal questions. Instead Truncated asked lots of questions, listened with respect or offered advice. Often Truncated just sat quietly watching what other children were doing. But deep within Truncated's heart, hidden away from the laughter jokes and smiles was a kid whose head and heart was filled with pain and fears. Truncated once described this feeling as like an inner voice hissing words about how useless and bad Truncated was and that there was no real future to look forward to. Deep down inside Truncated was unhappy. When Truncated smiled it was with facial expressions, not with smiling eyes and kids noticed something was not quite right. Truncated never really had enough self confidence to make proper mates. So,Truncated always played the joker and hid behind a mask so no one could see the real Truncated. One day while mucking around, a real smart dude came up to Truncated and said "You know what? I see that you are not happy. Why are you always pretending? If you keep hiding behind an exterior mask all the time you will never have good mates. So please let us in so we can be your mates". Truncated thought lots about what had been said. "Maybe there is some truth to the matter. I do want to have good mates to play with". Slowly Truncated eased back on the mucking around and started talking about personal things to some of the other children. Over time Truncated noticed the inner negative voice didn't hiss as much and Truncated was learning how to smile. One day the hissing was no more and Truncated realised "I am just like everyone else no better, no worse and I can even have mates. I know I still get sad and negative thoughts occasionally but by understanding that mucking around all the time is not always the best thing to do I am finding out the real meaning of friendship. A friendship that is right for me and not to other peoples standards". Help Truncated have more self confidence and worry less about what others think. Help Truncated's heart find its right place in this world by filling up Truncated's empty heart with colour and transforming Truncated's inner self.
